PSEG remains deeply committed to the health, safety and well-being of our customers, employees and the communities we serve. We are doing our part both to meet the needs of our customers and to continue to meet our obligations to the state. 

PSE&G’s remediation group currently anticipates consultants and contractors will mobilize personnel and equipment to the PSE&G Harrison property in May 2020 to begin site preparations for environmental remediation, pending final contract approval. 

PSE&G is conducting this work to fulfill its obligations to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state and to ensure the property’s continued beneficial use. Site work will follow the guidelines and directives issued by the New Jersey Department of Health, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration and the CDC, as applicable, for maintaining a clean, safe and healthy work environment.

PSE&G is committed to keeping on-site, non-project related PSE&G personnel, Town of Harrison and Hudson County officials, and our neighbors informed of the project’s progress and schedule, as well as what to expect during remediation. Once a mobilization date is confirmed, the project team will issue a public notification letter and project fact sheet (in English, Spanish and Portuguese) to off-site property owners and tenants in the area. A copy of these documents will also be posted to the website.
